I am writing to request your assistance regarding a situation involving a car purchase that I believe was handled improperly and may involve fraudulent activity.

I purchased a vehicle for $11,500 and had already paid approximately $6,700 through financing. Due to personal reasons, I voluntarily returned the car to the dealer. However, instead of processing the return appropriately, the dealer filed it as a repossession and later sold the vehicle for $5,000.

After the sale, I received only about $1,500, which does not align with the amount I had already paid. The dealer presented some documents to justify this outcome, but I strongly believe the paperwork is not legitimate.

In addition, I recently learned that many of the vehicles they sell have salvage titles, raising further concerns about improper practices at this dealership.

At this point, I feel that the dealer has essentially recovered the full value of the vehicle while leaving me with a significant financial loss. I believe this situation may involve fraud or mishandling of my financing and the repossession process.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on:

  1. Whether this situation qualifies as auto dealer fraud or a wrongful repossession,
  2. What steps I should take next,
  3. Whether you can assist me in filing a formal complaint or pursuing legal action.

Please let me know if you need any documents, such as my payment records, texts, or the VIN number.

Thank you for your time and support.
